Self Catering Cottages

With splendid views of the Five Sisters of Kintail and Loch Duich, these three comfortable, single-storey cottages are ideally placed for touring north-west Scotland and the Isle of Skye. The cottages are a perfect base for walkers and mountain climbers wishing to explore the Kintail mountains and the Cuillin of Skye.

Furnished and equipped, each has its own garden where a resident pine marten visits all three properties, and a slipway available for visitor's boats. Abundant wildlife, such as seals, porpoises and otters can be seen in the loch, with each cottage having a private wildlife hide. There are also a number of churches available including a Free Church, Church of Scotland, an Espiscopalian Church and St. Duthac's Church.

Seaside Cottage - Sleeps 4

Enjoying a lovely, secluded setting on the shores of Loch Duich, this cottage commands spectacular views over the Loch. The accommodation has an open-plan sitting/dining-room with an electric fire, leading to well-equipped kitchen with doors to patio and garden. The cottage has a double bedroom as well as a twin-bedded room so it can comfortably sleep four people. Seaside Cottage is also en-suite in both bedrooms. The double bedroom has en-suite shower and toilet while the twin room is en-suite shower cubicle bath and toilet.

Shoreside Cottage - Sleeps 4

Shoreside cottage, as it names suggests, is situated in a secluded setting on the shores of Loch Duich. The views from the large lounge window can only be described as breathtaking with uninterupted views of the famous five sisters of Kintail (which are all Munro mountains over 3,000 ft).

The cottage also has its own private hide which is reached by steps down to the waters edge where guests can observe all kinds of wildlife or enjoy a glass of wine in the peaceful surroundings. Wildlife are plentiful as herons, cormorants, ducks, porpoises, otters, roe deer and buzzards can all be seen regularly and the pine marten visits the patio most nights.

Walks and climbs to suit all ages and tastes are plentiful locally and forest roads are available for mountain bikers. There are numerous places to visit nearby including the famous Eilean Donan castle just 3 miles drive away, pictish brochs and the Isle of Skye bridge which is now toll free! There are several good restuarants and hotels not too far away. Taxis and car hire are also available locally.

The cottage has a double bedroom as well as a twin-bedded room so it can comfortably sleep four people. The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room and toilet. The twin bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower cubicle and toilet. There is also a separate toilet.

Waterside Cottage - Sleeps 3

This part stone-built detached cottage, with unusual turf roof, stands in a wonderful shoreside location. The living/dining-room has an electric `wood burner', wooden floor and french doors leading to a patio and garden area.

The cottage also has a modern fitted kitchen area with breakfast bar. For sleeping there is a double bedroom with additional single bed (for +1). The bedroom has a fitted wardrobe, wooden floor and en-suite shower room/W.C.
